Canine College Curriculum

Basic Obedience

Your dog is taught how to Heel, Sit (from down or stand), Stay, Down (from sit or stand), Stand (from down or sit), Come, Emergency Stay, Go to your place, and Finish; on leash. He will respond to commands given in a combination of voice and hand signals. Nuisance problems will be addressed to the extent possible.

Course duration: Four Weeks

Advance Obedience

Your dog is taught how to Heel, Sit (from down or stand), Stay, Down (from sit or stand), Stand (from down or sit), Come, Emergency Stay, Go to you place, and Finish; off leash at a distance. He will respond to commands given by either voice or hand signals. Nuisance problems will be addressed to the extent possible.

Course duration: Eight Weeks

Trick/Movie & T.V. Prep Course

After testing your dog and a consultation, a curriculum of five (5) tricks will be selected.
Tricks that could be included in this course are as follows:

Shake hands Play dead Roll over Sit up Retrieve Speak Jump into your arms Fetch Slippers, etc. Jump through a hoop Close your eyes Crawl Cover yourself

Course duration: Eight weeks

Show Training

Your dog will be taught to gait correctly in the show ring and to hold a stack position for examination by a conformation judge. After examination of the dog and consultation with you, if the dog qualifies, this course can be done simultaneously with basic obedience at no additional charge.
